i dont know who the hell is Icahn, but i feel they are quite inhumane to want to sack jerry yang from yahoo. who the bloody hell they think they are to sack the founder of yahoo from yahoo? thats like so damn bloody unreasonable. plus i think yahoo IS damn right to insist on the $37 per share cause they are the ones who has built yahoo from scratch, went thru damn a whole of shite and here, microsoft, the big bully, seeing that yahoo is doing well, and probably saw their success as threat, now wants to FORCE yahoo to sell their shares. bloody hell. i've never seen such an outright case of bullying before.

i spent my entire day on sat at darling's house playing hours and hours and hours of dracula game with darling. hahahah. im so addicted to that game. gonna go back again when we have time again to complete the game! darling is sweet to wait for me to go his house so we can complete the game together ((=
and yes!! we managed to cook prata again, and we made banana prata finally!!! it was yum yum yum ((= hehe now we're pros.. anyone wanna trrrrrry?? ((=
on fri, i met darling to have dinner and we decided to go bukit timah to have pizza. it was nice nice nice. how long has it been since we last had pizza ((= then after that went to play pool. hahaha. fun fun fun ((=
anyways, i had piano the ENTIRE day today and i had nearly wanted to puke blood during a few lessons. its always more interesting to teach higher grades because there is more learning and interaction taking place rather than just me teaching. its also more interesting for the student as well as they learn to appreciate music through the course of it. but sadly, i only have a few higher grade students. but its ok, just need some time and the rest will come to that stage of learning.
please if you want to learn music, bear in mind its not a 10 or 20 or even 50 years of learning, but a lifetime of learning. theres really no limit to how well you can play an instrument. there is no room for complacency. the toughest is always the learning because music is not like studying, when understanding and memorizing is part of studying. music is never about understanding or memorizing, but one word: practice. with practice, you'll achieve understanding and theres no deliberate need to memorize. practice is to repeat something until your fingers rot, until the melody rings in your ear even when you're asleep, it is to repeat something for hours and hours with no limit, you can even take years to practice a single piece of music. even so, it is never perfect. the idea is to practice until you achieve near perfection. it is years of failure for one moment of success, and then it doesnt end there. simply because theres infinite things to practice about.
when i first started, i started from the alphabets, CDEFGABC. then i started to learn one letter at one time. that was when i was 5.
throughout my entire grade 1 to 8 i hated piano more than anything. i failed grade 5 theory once. that was like in pri school. my dad really wanted to kill me man. the exams and piano fees aint cheap. i had the worse nightmares when i was about to go take my grade 8 practical. until today, i have no idea how and why in the world i actually passed grade 8. i really must have been damn lucky on my exam day. after that i dont know why i got into teaching piano. i've never regretted and i dont think i ever will. cause i learnt more than i did for the past 16 years that i've been playing piano throughout this teaching period of 3 years. i saw myself in many of my students and i salute my piano teacher, cause firstly, he didnt give up on me for the past 13 years of my hatred for piano. secondly, he was ever so patient with me i cannot comprehend how he was able to do that. and all that i've learnt has just been the tip of the iceberg. theres still so much that i cannot do, so much that i do not know. theres just infinite knowledge to music.
